How old do you have to be to scuba dive?
With PADI, children can try scuba in the Bubblemaker programme from age 8 (in a pool, with close supervision) and earn the Junior Open Water Diver certification from age 10. Juniors aged 10–11 dive to 12 metres with a certified parent or guardian, or PADI Pro; 12–14-year-olds to 18 metres with a certified adult. At 15, junior cards convert to adult certification.
