What do we collect when you browse the site?
Our hosting and our CDN (Cloudflare) keep standard server logs — IP address, browser, page requested and time — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
With your consent we also use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read, and Google Ads to measure whether our ads lead to an enquiry (for example a click on a WhatsApp button) and to show our ads again to past visitors. If we turn on the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram ads), it works the same way and also only with your consent.
How does cookie consent work here?
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. If you choose Reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set; Google receives only cookieless signals under Google Consent Mode, without identifiers. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
What happens when you contact or book with us?
Booking happens in a WhatsApp conversation. The enquiry forms on our trip and course pages don't send anything to our server — they write a WhatsApp message in your browser that you then send yourself. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
We use what you tell us (name, dates, group size, certification level) only to answer you and run your trip, and keep it for as long as we need it for that and for our legal and accounting obligations.
What are your rights?
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland you can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
