The more days you dive, the less each day costs. A 2-day diving package in Hurghada gives you 4 guided Red Sea dives over two boat days; longer packages use the same daily trip with hotel pickup and lunch on board.

Partners and friends who don't dive can share the day on the same boat. While the divers are down, you snorkel the reef top at both stops, then everyone eats lunch on deck together.

How do we keep your dives safe?
- Regulators and BCDs serviced every year by a trained technician, or sooner if the maker asks, as PADI and DAN recommend
- Tanks inspected inside and out every year and pressure tested (hydrostatic test) every 5 years
- Rental gear checked before every dive, plus a buddy check before you get in the water
- Emergency oxygen and a first-aid kit on every boat
- Max 4 divers per guide and a full site briefing before every dive
- Nitrox tanks analysed before you board, and you check your own mix before you dive
Where will we dive?
We choose from dozens of sites around Hurghada every morning: the Giftun islands, the Abu Ramada reefs, walls, coral gardens and wrecks down to 40 m, based on wind, swell and the group's experience. Our day boats range north as far as the SS Thistlegorm and the Abu Nuhas wrecks (an extra charge) and south as far as Makadi Bay and Sahl Hasheesh. Safaga, El Quseir and Marsa Alam are day trips with a road transfer. Have a site on your wish list? Tell us when you book - the dive-site map shows how we dive each one.
Who is this trip for?
Certified divers with Open Water or higher, from PADI, SSI or any equivalent agency. Not certified yet? Start with a try dive instead, Discover Scuba Diving needs no experience. If it's been more than a year since your last dive, your first dive of the day is an easy check dive with your guide, at no extra cost. Travelling with someone who doesn't dive? They can snorkel at both stops and share the day on board.
What should I bring?
- Certification card (or e-card) and logbook
- Swimwear and a towel
- Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
- A warm layer - mornings on the water can be fresh in winter
- Your Nitrox card, if you'd like to dive on Nitrox
- You don't need your own gear: a full set is €10 a day and a computer €5 a day
Day trip - the questions we get most
Where do you pick up from?
From hotels in Hurghada, El Gouna, Makadi Bay, Sahl Hasheesh, Soma Bay and Safaga - the transfer is included. Pickup is around 08:00; we confirm your exact time when you book, since it depends on how far your hotel is from the marina.
Do I need to be certified?
Yes, Open Water (PADI, SSI or equivalent) or higher. If you've never dived, our Discover Scuba Diving try dive needs no certification.
It's been a while since my last dive, can I still come?
Yes, just tell us when you book. If it's been more than a year, your first dive of the day is an easy check dive with your guide, at no extra cost, so you're relaxed and comfortable before the second dive.
Can my partner come if they don't dive?
Yes. Non-divers come along on the same boat, snorkel at both stops and have lunch and drinks with the group - for the same price as our snorkeling trip. Add them as snorkelers in the booking form.
What's included and what costs extra?
Included: hotel pickup and drop-off, two guided boat dives, tanks, weights, a certified guide and lunch with soft drinks on board. Extra: a full equipment set at €10 a day, a dive computer at €5 a day, Nitrox at €8 a tank and an underwater camera at €20 a day.
Do you have multi-day packages?
Yes, from 2 to 10 days, and the more days you dive, the less each day costs. The package table on this page shows today's prices. Pick the number of days in the booking form.
Can I dive on Nitrox?
Yes, if you're Nitrox certified, bring your card. It's €8 a tank; tell us when you book so your tanks are filled and analysed before you board.
Can I have a guide to myself?
Yes. A private guide costs €20 and dives at your pace, with your plan - for you alone or you and your buddy.
How many dives do we do?
Two dives of about an hour each, with lunch on board and a surface interval of around two hours between them, both planned well within recreational no-decompression limits.
What's the cancellation policy?
Free cancellation up to 24 hours before your trip. If we cancel for weather or sea conditions, you pay nothing and we rebook you for another day.
How do I pay?
In cash on the morning of your trip. Nothing is paid in advance: we confirm your booking on WhatsApp.
