Small groups, careful guides and the same safety standard on every boat - daily diving, liveaboards, courses and technical diving alike.
Every boat carries an emergency oxygen kit and a first-aid kit and we keep groups small - a maximum of 4 divers per guide, so briefings actually brief and guides can watch every diver, not just the group.
Certification requirements are checked before every trip: Open Water or higher for daily diving and liveaboards, Advanced Open Water for sites like the SS Thistlegorm's cargo holds and Ras Mohammed's walls, and a minimum Tec 40 for technical diving. Free cancellation up to 24 hours before a day trip or course starts (liveaboards: see each trip's deposit terms).
How do we keep your dives safe?
- Regulators and BCDs serviced every year by a trained technician, or sooner if the maker asks, as PADI and DAN recommend
- Tanks inspected inside and out every year and pressure tested (hydrostatic test) every 5 years
- Rental gear checked before every dive, plus a buddy check before you get in the water
- Emergency oxygen and a first-aid kit on every boat
- Max 4 divers per guide and a full site briefing before every dive
- Nitrox tanks analysed before you board, and you check your own mix before you dive

Which diving centres and boats do you work with?
We work exclusively with CDWS diving centres and boats. 71 Guardians has its own CDWS registration number, and we send it to you on WhatsApp whenever you ask. You can check registered operators in the official CDWS directory.
Are your instructors DAN-insured and active with CDWS?
Yes. Our team includes five instructors with DAN insurance and active CDWS status.
What insurance covers your guides and boat?
Our guides and our boat are insured. This does not imply personal accident cover for guests.
Are emergency oxygen and boat emergency equipment available?
Emergency oxygen and boat emergency equipment are available.
How do you set the planned depth for certified divers?
Planned dive depths always stay within your certification limit. The dive plan also takes account of conditions and your experience to keep the dive suitable for you.
