Brothers, Daedalus & Elphinstone — offshore for 7 nights

Brothers–Daedalus–Elphinstone is our offshore 7-night liveaboard to three remote marine-park reefs: the Brothers islands and their wrecks, Daedalus and Elphinstone. Expect deep walls, strong currents and a chance of oceanic whitetips and other pelagics in season — never a guarantee. It's an advanced route: Advanced Open Water or 50+ logged dives. Full board, from €1,340 per person.

What does a week on Brothers · Daedalus · Elphinstone look like?

Up to four dives a day, with time to eat, rest and log in between.

  1. Day 1

    Board and briefing

Settle in, meet the crew and get the boat and safety briefing — including how offshore pickups work.

  2. Day 2

    Check dive and the crossing

A check dive near the coast, then the long crossing out to the Brothers.

  3. Day 3

    The Brothers

Marine-park rules give boats a single day here, with no overnight stay and no night dives, so we make it count: Big Brother's walls and its two wrecks, the Numidia and the Aida, and Little Brother's soft-coral plateaus — the best chance on the route of pelagic encounters, never guaranteed.

    • Dives planned around the current
    • Every diver carries an SMB
  4. Day 4

    Daedalus

A lone reef with a lighthouse, far offshore: the anemone field known as Anemone City, and the plateaus where hammerheads are sometimes seen early in the day, in season.

  5. Day 5

    Elphinstone

A long reef with a plateau at each end, known for current-swept walls and occasional oceanic whitetips in autumn.

  6. Day 6

    Coastal reefs

Back towards the coast to sheltered reefs outside the marine parks — the place for a night dive on this route.

  7. Day 7

Last dives and back to port

A final morning dive closer to shore, then back to port and a farewell dinner.

  8. Day 8

    Disembark

    Breakfast and goodbyes.

This is a typical week, not a fixed timetable. The captain sets each day's route by weather, sea state and park permits, and the last dive is at least 24 hours before your flight home.

What's included?

  • Twin or double ensuite cabin
  • All meals, snacks between dives and soft drinks
  • Up to 4 guided dives a day — night dives only on the coastal reefs, outside the marine parks
  • Tanks and weights
  • Marine park fees and port taxes

Extras & add-ons

  • Nitrox fills — certified divers, blended on board Ask us
  • Equipment rental Ask us
  • Alcoholic drinks Ask us
  • Crew tips — entirely at your discretion Ask us

Prices are per person in a twin cabin. A 20% deposit holds your cabin; the balance is due 60 days before departure.

Who is this route for?

Experienced divers only: Advanced Open Water or at least 50 logged dives, because of the currents, the depth of the walls and the distance from shore. You'll need to be confident with your buoyancy and with deploying an SMB.

What should I bring?

  • Passport — the boat registers every guest with the port
  • Certification card (or e-card) and logbook
  • Your dive insurance details
  • A surface marker buoy (SMB) and reel
  • A dive torch for night dives
  • A warm layer for evenings on deck
  • Reef-safe sunscreen, a hat and sunglasses
  • Your seasickness remedy, if you're prone to it

Brothers · Daedalus · Elphinstone — the questions we get most

What's the deposit and cancellation policy?

A 20% deposit reserves your cabin, and the balance is due 60 days before departure. You can change your dates for free up to 60 days out — message us about anything closer to departure.

Can I night dive on this route?

Not in the offshore marine parks: the rules don't allow night dives at the Brothers, Daedalus or Elphinstone, and boats get a single day at the Brothers with no overnight stay. Night dives happen on the coastal reefs before and after.

What if the weather changes the route?

The captain has the final say every day. If wind, swell or a park permit rules a site out, we move to the best alternative nearby — safety and good diving first, the printed plan second.

Can I rent equipment or dive on Nitrox?

Yes — equipment rental and Nitrox (for certified divers, blended on board) are add-ons. Tell us what you need when you book so it's ready on the boat.

What if I get seasick?

We choose calmer routes where we can. Ask your doctor or pharmacist about a seasickness remedy suitable for you before travelling.

Which dive sites does this trip visit?

The captain picks the final sites each day by weather, sea state and permits.
