Who is responsible for your data?
71 Guardians Diving Expeditions And Academy, Zahabia Hotel, Hurghada, Red Sea Governorate, Egypt. Questions about your data or this policy: [email protected].
What do we collect when you browse the site?
Our hosting and our CDN (Cloudflare) keep standard server logs — IP address, browser, page requested and time — to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.
We use Google Analytics 4 to see which pages are read, and Google Ads and the Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram ads) to measure whether our ads lead to an enquiry — a click on a WhatsApp button or a booking request — and to show our ads again to past visitors. When you send a booking request, our server also reports it to Meta (the Meta Conversions API) with your email and phone number scrambled (hashed), so Meta can match it to an ad you saw without receiving them in readable form. Next to each booking request we note where the visit came from (for example a Google or Facebook ad, a search engine or another website), to know which advertising works.
How does cookie consent work here?
The first time you visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics and advertising cookies. In the EU, the UK and Switzerland none of the above runs until you click Accept; elsewhere it runs unless you click Reject. If you choose Reject, no analytics or advertising cookies are set and nothing is sent to Meta; Google receives only cookieless signals under Google Consent Mode, without identifiers. Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage so we don't ask on every page.
You can change your mind at any time with the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page.
What happens when you contact or book with us?
The booking form on our trip and course pages has two buttons. Send booking request sends what you type — your name, WhatsApp number, email, dates, group size and anything else you add — to the booking system on our own server, so our team can reply, and we email you a copy. Send on WhatsApp doesn't send anything to our server: it writes a WhatsApp message in your browser that you then send yourself. WhatsApp is run by Meta under its own privacy policy.
We use what you tell us (name, contact details, dates, group size, certification level) only to answer you and run your trip, and keep it for as long as we need it for that and for our legal and accounting obligations.
What are your rights?
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, object to its use, or withdraw consent at any time. If you are in the EU, the UK or Switzerland you can also complain to your local data-protection authority. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days.
